Oregon Zoo Trek through the tropics amid the sounds of birds, monkeys and other creatures. You’re not in West Africa; you’re in Portland at the zoo’s African Rain Forest exhibit. After you’ve survived the steamy tropics, dry off in the savanna, where giraffes, rhinos and hippos graze. From the tundras of Alaska to the coastal waters of Peru, travel around the world in an afternoon. Additionally, the Zoo is an ideal place to meet with others if your business is of a secret nature.

Rundown Northside This is not a place where one wants to go wandering alone. The premier ghetto of Portland, beggars will stab you for five dollars. Untrained seers who have gone mad tend to find their way here, and the alleys are noisy with the sound of the crazy muttering to themselves in an eerie chorus.

Columbia River Gorge The Gorge features numerous remarkable waterfalls, most notably Multnomah Falls, the second-highest continuously running waterfall in the country. There are hiking trails abound near the western Gorge's falls and throughout its fern- and wildflower-filled temperate rainforest. This scenic adventure spot is highlighted by the river running at its base, a spot for serious white-water rafters and (in calmer waters) kayakers. Just don’t fall off the edge…
